London WallBorough MarketI woke up at 5:00 am. We got ready and headed out to Caffè Nero. On the way back we stopped at Boots for face clothes, since they are not provided in English hotels. Also saw the marker for the London Wall. We both took a short nap. After that, we headed to Borough Market. The walking directions on my phone were not working well, so we stopped in a Caffè Nero for directions. They pointed us in the right direction. Gwyn saw the lights for the market as walked looking for it.

We enjoyed the market, and then headed back to the trains to go to Birmingham, where we would visit their Christmas market. Pretty easy to get to. We walked down a platform expecting that we could just tap our phones to enter, but this is not the Tube. Back up to the ticket area and got our tickets. We only had a 20 minute wait for our train.

The train ride was nice like all trains we have ridden so far in Great Britain. The train station was not far from the center of Birmingham where the Christmas market is. It is a really fun place. Wooden structures setup in the middle of the streets. Lots of food and gifts. As we wandered around, we stopped in the Bullring & Grand Central, which is a shopping mall and found a Neil Diamond Christmas cd that my sister Janna did not have.

Birmingham MarketPenguinWe wandered back through the Chrismat market, and I got a bratwurst which was OK. Gwyn got a skewer of chicken.

Back to the train and home. Only got a bit turned around but a train staff came over and showed us we could still get to Aldgate East from Euston. We should have entered the other Euston station. Watched a Repair Shop and then went to bed.
